I see other groups are doing projects. Is this instead of a memoir, in addition to a memoir or optional. This Alaska Gem wants to know.
I believe we settled on Alaska Gems for our group name. Is that right?

My hunch is that it is in lieu of a memoir or perhaps a group memoir; I'm not sure. I did email Sondra to inquire if what I had posted was on the right track, and she said that it was fine. I'm guessing that the purpose of our group was initially to brainstorm writing possibilities, but that the primary role of the group will be as editors. If we want to explore some group memoir package, I'm open to the idea. Pod-casts are a possibility, which could be hosted from our blog. Just a thought.

ReplyDeleteYou know I like the idea of a conjoined group memoir - a retelling of teaching experiences that flow into and out of eachother - such as Creed telling about his first day with the long face and me telling about my first journaling experience with jrs and srs out here. I haven't shared that yeat, but could. It had some very powerful results - after the 'you're an adult - I'm an adult' talk I had at the beginning of the year. What do you think?
